News of Lebron James' election to rejoin the embittered Cleveland Cavaliers gave everyone a shock on Thursday afternoon. James produced a letter discussing his decision to leave the Miami Heat where he claimed, "Not one, not two, not three, not four...", in reference to how many championships that Miami would produce.
His self-proclaimed victories were perhaps haunted by the burning of his jerseys by betrayed Cleveland fans the next day. However, somehow, James has put all of these aspects in the past and agreed to right his wrongs in the following season.
News outlets around the country seemed to be hanging onto James' every move in the days leading up to his brief promulgation.
The question still remains, was it for the love of money or reparation for the ample amount of Cleveland hearts he shattered?
Maybe the sheer heat of the Miami Heat was too great a burden for him to bear. Their disappointing loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the playoffs this year may have brought James pause. With Dwyane Wade far from his prime and Chris Bosh not being able to offer the extra assist needed to win, this may have been a sinking ship.
Regardless, LeBron is heading back to the place he called home for so many years. We'll see if he and Kyrie Irving can turn the Cavs into something more.

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have become hot commodities within the NBA since announcing free agency. Reportedly, both James and Anthony are being pushed to become a LA Laker or a Chicago Bull. Could this be the case or is this all some cynical plot involving the all too familiar song lyrics, “The best things in life are free, but you can give them to the birds and bees. I need money; that’s what I want”?
James has stated to sources that he wants more money than the Heat has been willing to provide. Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and Lebron James took massive pay cuts in order to form the big three in Miami and still have enough cap space to fill a roster.
However, James now desires to be paid more for his services. Could LeBron really be considering parting ways with Miami or is this some last ditch effort to negotiate his pay with the Heat to a more acceptable state? Only the next few months will tell. The United States fell to Belgium in round 16 of the World Cup with a heartbreaking defeat today.
The loss was only heightened by the fact that the US’ last ditch effort during the last 15 minutes of the game could have kept them afloat. The players said that they left it all out on the field during this time, but their efforts were simply not enough.
In a stride to keep the game competitive, the US subbed in a player that was only a teenager. However, this proved to be a wise choice, as he scored a goal minutes upon entering the game. But in the end, the US simply did not have enough fire throughout the game to meet the consistency of Belgium and loss 2-1 with Belgium advancing to the quarter finals.
