Phil Jackson appears to be exclaiming enough is enough with the New York Knicks franchise. After an accusatory interview with The New York Times during the beginning of February, Jackson decided to voice his distaste of their recent loss to the Cavaliers on social media. With the Knicks teetering on the worst franchise record in history and Carmelo Anthony out for the season, things may be as bleak as Jackson makes them seem.
The Knicks never really had a leg to stand on with the Cavaliers on Sunday. They trailed Cleveland by 19 in the first quarter. There was only 37 percent shooting accuracy from the floor during this time. They were handed a grave defeat of 101-83.
Did Jackson feel there was no effort within the game? Or could he be reeling in his own guilt over the trades he directed at the start of the season? Whatever the reason, the team’s 10-45 record will definitely not make them a playoff team as previously predicted by Jackson.
