The state of Michigan experienced an unnerving shakeup this weekend. The earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.2, caused quite a stir in the psyches of city residents yesterday in Galesburg. One shopper in the area can attest to the dynamic feel of the quake. She informed CNN, “The whole building was moving. You could see that walls shaking and things on shelves were shaking. Some things fell off of the shelves.”
This was, undoubtedly, a scary moment for Michigan residents and visitors since tremors rarely occur there. There were no injuries reported with this strange phenomenon, thankfully. Yet, that didn’t mute the uproar on social media pertaining to the quake. The cause for pause may have been warranted. According to CNN, this was the second largest earthquake in the state’s history.
